Safer Internet Day 2026: It is being celebrated in Georgia for the eighth time
The conference is co-organized by ISOC Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and the Communications Commission.
On February 10, 2026, the world marks Safer Internet Day 2026, which aims to promote the safe, responsible, and positive use of the internet—especially for children and young people—and serves to raise public awareness about online safety and a culture of mutual respect on the internet.
Safer Internet Day is a global initiative that brings together government agencies, the education sector, private companies, the technical community, and civil society organizations to jointly discuss the challenges of the online environment and ways to address them.
On February 10, 2026, at 12:00, an online conference will be held dedicated to Safer Internet Day and the challenges associated with it. Georgia is joining this global initiative for the eighth time.
The slogan of Safer Internet Day is “Together for a better internet” — calling on everyone to join this movement, participate actively, and fully harness the internet’s potential to connect people through a community-based approach.
Safer Internet Day once again emphasizes that creating a safe and trustworthy online environment is a shared responsibility that requires the active involvement of all stakeholders.
